for exchange, you must create a user+mailbox which has enough right to read and wright in every mailbox.
use the Proman.exe utiluty if you having problems with making the profile

that very strange... when your installing a Commserver, your automaticaly installing SQL2000 with SP3 in it. That's part of the installation!
So, CV is using SQL :-)
If the "CV Server" does the backups, it's also an Media Agent!
datapipe errors are not indicating a specfic...

I get stuck cause my CV support is located in Germany.
Think that US support is better...but I'm not quite sure about it.
But escalating everytime...think you get a bad understanding between yourself and CV...

are you running a 100MBit network?? check if your NIC's AND Switchports are running 100MBit FULL DUPLEX.!!!!
check with CVIPINFO tool if if your nic's are being resolved.
also check revers DNS lookup

Tape to Tape will be accessing the Index Cache on the media agent. If this is also the Commserve, check howmany resouces SQL is taking of the physical amount of RAM.
Set it back to 1/3.
suppose if your CS/MA has 2000MB of RAM. Within SQL serv manager, decrease it to 1700MB !

Make a "new copy" on the storage policy, make it "synchronomous" and select the media agent, which is connected to your backup media.
don't forget to apply the retention time for this new copy. default is "infinite"

which version of galaxy are you using.... for extending backups, it's better to use "extended retention" rules, else, all backups will be retained longer...causes more backup media!!...
Changing retention on Storage Policies, something to be aware of....with the next Pruning or Data...
