Mitch don't know if this will help you at all, I doubt it. But I believe the problems on my server came about as a result of some tampering. Did anyone ever shared a internet conection with a USB ADSL Modem???
I've found that the ICS stuff can be a little flaky and have had some horrible BSOD's as a result of using it. Try something like Wingate or winroute.
