I ran into the same problem. My XP Pro would not recognize the microphone, would not allow me to uninstall and then reinstall the Legacy Audio Drivers. The sound card drivers were unable to activate the microphone input.
I did try uninstalling the sound card and removing it completely...
Do you have a DSN created for the database on your Web Host Server? If not, then you will not be able to access it for the form. Ande
John 17:15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. (NIV)
It sounds like you haven't set up the database as a system data source name (system DSN). Once that is done, then you must create a database connection to it in FrontPage. On the Tools menu, point to Web Settings, click the Database tab.
If you are trying to do it on a hosted web site, you...
I hope this will help.
Go to: “Settings | Control Panel”
Select “System”
Select the Tab “Network Identification”
Select the Button “Properties”
Under “Member of” change the selection from “Workgroup” to “Domain” and type in your PDC Name
Click on “OK”
That should work. So far, Windows 2000...
I just went through this. The Windows 2000 Professional wants to be its own PDC of a Workgroup.
You've got to go into the System Properties in Control Panel and manualy change the "Member of" to Domain and type in the PDC Name. In my case, I even had to rename the work station...

2. Use "Ctrl H" to open the Find/Replace Dialog Box.
3. Type .com (or whatever the last characters are for the web address ie...
I don't believe there is an easy way to import Word Tables into Access.
The only way I've been able to accomplish this was to copy the table into Excel. Access will then easily import from Excel into a database.
Word tables appear to be a unique format that Access can not read.
I don't know how long the server has been up without any maintenance. But, I'll definitely do some the first chance I get.
Thanks for the information and tips. I'll let you know how it works out.

Thanks for the response.
The server is a straight stand alone NT 4.0 server. There is no Exchange, DHCP or MS Backoffice installed. The hard drive is a single SCSI partitioned into three drives. The software is Lotus Smart Suite, Q&A Database and Pervasive SQL 2000 for a package called DBA...
I just stepped into a small company with a NT 4.0 Server and Win 95/98 Work Stations that is slow. Upgrade of RAM to 768MB and increasing paging size had no effect. The server is running on a PII 350 MHz CPU with only 6 active users. The LAN is a 100BaseT with upgraded cabling, NetGear NICs...
I have a couple of the older Btrieve tools hanging around. But, I don't remember Btrieve ever having a separate *.idx file. The index and header information were all integrated into one file with the data. That was why index corruptions were always a mess with Btrieve.
You say you have a...
