    did everything you stated including replacing the drive. On start Status goes yellow and stays yellow, drive (both original and replacement) do not spool up. Hyperterm to serial port on bootup shows nothing, does not repond to any typing.

    It is a C17A49 and I see the three pins near the cap. These pins are near the edge connector with no jumpers. thanks

    I have a Merlin Messaging module that the status light stays yellow. In looking at the board itself, I noticed a bank of four sets of pins for possible jumpers located near the back of the module. There are no jumpers on any of the pins. Could this be the problem? thanks

    right side up, we have checked the pins about 100 times it seems. We got an Avaya tech in about an hour, thanks for all of your help ppl.

    Done that about 10 times already. Test 572 fails with 2003 indicates too many errors on the bus for the maintenance pack to correct AND bus has three leads faulted not open.

    removed carrier c. Now have major packet bus alarms. checked all pins, all look good. Shut down carrier b, alarms go away. power up carrier b with all cards pulled. OK. On inserting the TN577 Packet gateway major Packet bus alarms appear. Any ideas?

    Problem resolved. Unclear as to fix but probably either Time in Queue changed to 0 instead of 20, or earlier admin change & site (remote) has finally tested properly. Thanks for assistance & good luck.
