I have two NEC 2000 IPS systems both are 1-PIM systems. What if remove the processor board etc. from one system can I still connect it to the full system as an additional pim if I only install line cards? Is there any true difference besides the hardware between these cabinets?.

OK, I must correct myself. My issue is that I can not get any of the cards in pim 0 to go OPE status except the PW55 and sw10 card in that pim. If I make busy the the SW10 card all th LEDS on the line cards will lite solid green. I have also noticed that my cpu LED (pim ope) in not on.
