Have I missed something

Have I missed something

Have I missed something

I have MTS on my NT4 Workstation and also on a NT4 Server with all the service packs. Im trying to test a simple 3 Tier architecture with COM/DCOM/MTS.
The presentation layer calls a business object within MTS which calls a Data object which returns a recordset back to the business object and then raises an event on the client with some detail from the recordset. Simple enough.

The following is working

I can call the local DCOM server direct on my workstation.
I can call the local MTS business object through the local MTS on my workstation.
I can call the NT Server DCOM server direct on my workstation.
However I cannot call the NT Server MTS business object through the MTS on the NT Server
All I get is 'permission denied'.

Therefore I have proved that
The business object works OK
The DCOM Server works OK (on both local and server machines)
MTS on my local machine works OK

So the specific problem is that I cannot access an MTS object on a remote server but I have no problem locally.

Any ideas?

RE: Have I missed something

Answering my own thread...sad

This is now OK. User logged on the Server needed to have more permissions.

RE: Have I missed something

You are right! And that is PAIN in the ass that you have to be loggend on to the server to have those kind of rights!!

RE: Have I missed something

I tested the above possiblities.  Even, when I log on with an administrator, particular to the server in a Remote System using Terminal Server Client, it throws some error messages(Err. no. like 80080005).  When referred to the book or online helps, it gives the information which won't work out.
