Trouble creating Folder Links/Shortcuts on an FTP server

Trouble creating Folder Links/Shortcuts on an FTP server

Not sure if this is the right section for this, but I've got an FTP server and it dumps the users in the F:\ drive when they login.  They can manually change to the D:\, but I would like one of the folders instead to be a link to the D:\   (i.e. D:\Archive)

I created a shortcut to the D:\ drive and put it on the F:\, and I can see it when I browse through My Computer, but when you log into the FTP the shortcut is non-existent.  I am running Serv-U FTP Server, and I tried their website FAQ with no luck.  I'm beginning to think maybe they just don't support links/shortcuts???
