Can't dial out to an operator or information (411)

Can't dial out to an operator or information (411)

Can't dial out to an operator or information (411)

I have two IP Office 403 installs where I have an AT&T INCS circuit installed. So it is AT&T voice service via PRI using 12 channels of a T1 (the rest is used for data).

One of them in in CA, the other in GA. The CA one was put in May 2003, the GA one is brand new as of last week.

Neither of them can dial "0" for the operator or "411" for information. They are dialing 9 to get out but are getting the following responses.

When they dial 9 from the GA switch they get "Your call can not be completed as dialed"

When they dial from the CA switch they just get a busy signal.

Both of these switches have loop start trunk cards with POTS lines for backup incase the PRI goes out, but it doesn't appear to want to go out those as well.

To throw a 3rd wrench into this, I have an IP Office in OH that was installed a little over a year ago where we didn't use the INCS circuit and are only useing loopstart trunks.

I have compared the shortcodes from all three systems and the OH PBX has one shortcode that I think may be helping them.

It is: #[9]xxxxxxxxxx

All three have these as well...

Is there something special about it having the 9 with 10 "x"'s after it that could be allowing this function to work?

I have a ticket open with AT&T INCS service center for them to check it out, but I thought I better cover my bases with the PBX's as well.

Thanks In Advance for your help.

RE: Can't dial out to an operator or information (411)

Here is an update to my problem above.

AT&T has informed me that their INCS product does not support 411 or "0" for the operator.

The instructed me to use my local trunks for this service.

I am not very experienced with the IP Office, but I do know that my two backup local trunks are in outgoing line group id 9 and that I need to create a short code for the 411 and for 0 that used line group id 9 instead of 10 that is currently being used by the PRI trunk.

The links below are my shortcode setups and my line group ids.

I know this is probably very simple, but what is the short code that I will need to make this work?

RE: Can't dial out to an operator or information (411)

I believe you're going to want to build a shortcode that will be [9]411 "Number" 411 "line group id" 9 and feat would be "dial3k1"

RE: Can't dial out to an operator or information (411)

thanks. I just tried some logical shortcodes and they worked. Just as you described.
