i have an nec ds 1000 would to program background music,can someone please tell me how to do the programming for this unit.

Enable BGM system wide in Program 0201, then enable BGM for each extension in Program 1802. Once everything is enabled, all you have to do is press hold to toggle theBGM on and off.
