Error trying to use field from added DB Table

Error trying to use field from added DB Table

I'm new at CR.  I have created reports and run them from VB front-ends with no problems.  However, with an existing CR Report, I need to add a field from a table not previously included with the report.  I added 2 tables.  Table 1 has a link to a field from an existing table's field.  Table 2 has a field linked to a field in Table 1.  I added the needed field to the report from Table 2.  I get an error when I try to preview the report: "ODBC Error: The column prefix "Networks" does not match with a column name or alias name used in the query."  I am using version 7.
I don't understand because I added the column name by selecting it from a Database table already defined in CR.
Can anyone help?  Thank you in advance!
