CNC Deployment Server

(OP)
We have a old Compaq Prolinea 3000 as a Deployment server. 4 drives, raid 5. One late friday afternoon, i saw yellow light on one of the drive, i pull the drive out and push it in hoping it will build. Monday morning 2 drives has yellow light. What is the simpliest way to restore our deployment server.

RE: CNC Deployment Server

Hopefully you have a backup?  If so, rebuild the server, reinstall JDE Deployment server, then restore your backup.

RE: CNC Deployment Server

Echo that.
Build your new machine (or rebuild the Compaq POS 3000

Load the OS.

Install JDE from CD-ROM (just to give you Registry entries and such)

Restore JDE directories from tape backup.

If you do not have a tape backup, post back here and I can share a trick for getting modded objects from a workstation back to the deployment server.
