Error installing Authorware on Win2K

I'm trying to install Authorware on a Win2K PC, logged on as the system administrator. The error I'm getting is "webplr.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program." After searcing the Macromedia website, I verified that I'm using IE 6.0, and I set the screen resolution to 600X800. I also cleared out the browser's cache. I then tried uninstalling authorware using the method described on Macromedia's website. I'm still getting the error message. Any ideas?
