a friend of mine has aquired a rolm model 10 and wants to add paging. Is there an interface needed between the paging amp and the trunk line

RE: paging on ROLM model 10

I WOULD USE SOME TYPE OF INTERFACE IF FOR NOTHING BUT AN ISOLATION POINT, ALSO IF YOUR GOING TO ZONE PAGE YOU WILL NEED A VALCOM OR EQUIVALENT. THE TRUNK HAS A 600 OHM IMPEDENCE SO YOU WILL NEED TO MATCH IT TO THE PAGE AMP

Thanks, could you give me a simple outline on how to set up a trunk level page. Only need one zone.

RE: paging on ROLM model 10

YOU WILL NEED TO GO INTO CNFG AND BUILD A TRUNK GROUP(CREATE TRUNK_GROUP PAGE) TRUNK TYPE WILL BE PAGE THEN DEFAULT THROUGH THE REST. THEN YOU WILL BE READY TO BUILD A TRUNK (CREATE TRUNK COT XXXXXX) THE XXXXXX IS YOUR PAD ADDRESS SHELF/SLOT/UNIT, ROLM STARTS WITH 1 AND GOES THROUGH 8 ON A COT TRUNK CARD. THEN YOU WILL NEED TO ASSIGN A ACCESS CODE (CREATE TRUNK_ACCESS) LOOK IN THE FIRST DIGIT TABLE FOR A SPARE 1 OR 2 DIGIT TRUNK CODE THAT'S NOT USED, YOU CAN CHECK TO SEE IF THERE USED BY DOING A (LIST TRUNK_ACCESS ALL). ANYTIME YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO INPUT JUST TYPE A ? AND THE SWITCH WILL GIVE THE OPTIONS.
