limit on number of 4424 sets?
limit on number of 4424 sets?
(OP)
Good day, folks
I had heard/seen somewhere a comment that the IPO has a limit to the number of 4424 digital sets that it would support. Can anyone confirm if this is true, and if so, what is the limit?
Thanks

Too bad for the client that wants all 24 button sets, eh?
Is this limitation also on the Merlin Magix I wonder?

The 4424 issue is with IP Office only. There are similar restrictions on 4450 units (max 2 per module).
The problem relate both to power supply and to the switch software. Rumour is that the call appearance features in the forthcoming IP Office 3.0 include beefed up handling of high density lamp activity though I haven't seen that confirmed yet.

Is there an official feature/fix list for rev 3.0?

The thread http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=904163 contained a good cut'n'paste of what was intended to be in 3.0.

I hope there will be a good solid stable 2.* release prior to the 3.0. That will give us a stable rev to use for new installations between now and the resolution of all the new 3.0 bugs that no doubt will exist.
So far, in my exposure to the IPO product, it seems like each install is beta testing.
How many installs have you guys/gals done that were not "money pits" as far as sinking tons of nonbillable time to resolve bugs after the initial cutover?
