We are starting to roll out McAfee Enterprise 8 at work. There are a LOT of wireless IBM laptops in use on our network.
If you install McAfee Enterprise 8 on one, you are pretty well screwed. Right click options are gone, grayed out. Access to Control Panel is gone in most cases. You can NOT uninstall it as it is not listed in Add/Remove Programs.
I found a TID on Network Associates site that infers that the problem is with IBM DLA and Record Now software and states that this must be updated. Instructions on how to stop McAfee Framework Service and hack the registry are included. I did both without success.
Anyone using this and having this problem? It seems to be isolated to laptops. Our IBM desktop machines are fine. The only solution we have found is tot re-image the laptop.
