ProComm Aspect + QBasic + Windows XP

(OP)
My QBasic (4.5) program (that is running in a DOS batch file created and executed by a ProComm Aspect script running under Windows XP) is not working correctly any more.

The program reads a file, and depending on a condition check, writes the output record to one output file or another.  The program is dropping a block of records from output (they don't end up in either output file).
Since this has been working under Windows 2000, I conclude that there's a problem with XP.

Is the problem with:
ProComm Aspect?
Building and Running the batch file under ProComm?
Running the QBasic program out of the batch file running under ProComm?

Thanks for the help.
