reporting on specific records

(OP)
I am very new to CR, how would I make a formula to pick out specific records? It is a inventory database. I have part ID & Part description to work with. Example: I would like to pull out all of the parts that go into the manufacturing of a bottle of mouthwash; bottle, cap, front label, back label, box, box dividers, etc. And then get an inventory count on each item.

RE: reporting on specific records

Step one is to figure out how the inventory database is structured.  It could have one or more tables, and you will need to know this.  Is there a table with a ProductID, how is this related to the PartID, etc...
