Mailing Forms - How to?

RE: Mailing Forms - How to?

assuming some UNIX variant....

# !/your/perl/path/perl....etc....
$mailprog = '/usr/lib/sendmail';
open (MAIL, "¦$mailprog  -f $whoFrom ") ¦¦ &log("Failed to open mail pipe\n");

print MAIL "mail stuff";

close MAIL;

# end perl

If, in fact, you are on a UNIX variant, use the sendmail man pages to figure out
which chunks of the email you want to mess with ( ie.From:, Reply-To:, Subject:,
whatever.....).  Just print the stuff you want to the opened MAIL handle.  When you close the handle, the mail is gone.

Hope this helps.
