CCC Clock Problem

CCC Clock Problem

CCC Clock Problem

(OP)
Does anyone have problems with the PC Clock getting offset on PC running the CCC Server?

I got this problem on two sites running Win2000, and both machine were replaced and clean-reinstalled. One is a 3 gig dual-processor HP PC with 1gig of RAM and the other one is a 2gig CPU 512mb ram.. latest delta server release but they does that since the first releases of delta server in CCC v4

Using a time synchronisation software fix the problem but it should not be needed

Avaya doesnt seem to be aware of this problem I'm doing a bunch of traces for them but I would like to see if we are the only BP having this issue.

Also, I cannot reproduce this problem on my own system because it seems to not happen since there is not much call center trafic in our switch.

RE: CCC Clock Problem

What exactly do you mean when you say the time on the VMS PC is getting offset?  As in drifting by a few minutes a day?  Or suddenly off by exactly 1 or more hours?

on the CCC server pc the clock loose between 15-45 minutes everyday...some day only 1-2 minutes, we had to force updates using a time sync tool

RE: CCC Clock Problem

I had this same problem a year ago on two machines.  Updated the Delta Server to the latest release and the trouble went away immediately.  Avaya had denied all knowledge while suggesting that the upgrade may do the trick...

RE: CCC Clock Problem

Hmmm - I always use time sync software on principle (like the idea of the time on the phones being gospel) so can't say I've run into this before.

What version of DS are you running?

RE: CCC Clock Problem

I'm running 4.0.24 on one site and 4.0.16 on the other one but I just upgraded to 4.0.29 I will know around next week if it fixed the problem but I'm having this issue since the first delta server version of CCC v4.

The time on the phones will probably be fixed in v3.1 (but they do not seem to be 100% sure of that)...

I just sent a bunch of delta server log files to avaya but I'm not sure if they can reproduce the problem because it happen only on sites where the CCC Server is busy. I run the DS only for SMDR purposes on other sites and do not have this problem.

RE: CCC Clock Problem

it is worht remembering that PC's are sold a computing devices not clocks, the possible error on a pc clock is huge (the os checks the time from the RTC chip on boot & then just keeps counting!)

The clock work fine on theses pc if we uninstall CCC...
