Call Park

I have a BCM that you can Call park an internal call and retrive it, but if I park an external call, the call can not be retrived until after the recall timer and then it goes back to the person theat parked it.

RE: Call Park

That does not sound right.

You yourself, witnessed the monitoring of the Park bin & you cannot retrieve????

I would recommend a software restart- that is one of the most basic call processing features.

RE: Call Park

You fail to mention which version of BCM this is.
If you experience problems with Feature 986 ( direct
transfer to mailbox ) as well then I would recommend
that the BCM be upgraded to 3.5. Our office experienced
these two problems when our BCM was 3.0. Upgrading to BCM
3.5 cured this problem.

If the BCM used VOip trunks and the call is transfer through
those trunks, then the problem could aslo indicate an upgrade
is required.

Check your Nortel website for any patches or updates that
pertain to this issue.

BCM 3.6, Problem was some phones didn't have PRI line pool programed to there DN. Problem went away as soon as we changed it.

RE: Call Park

I do not understand that one.No phones should need any pool assigned. It does not have anything to do with Call Park.

The Call Park feature allows any external call answered to be placed on Park. To allow any user (whether or not they have any lines assigned or access to any lines) to pick up a phone call from any phone in the system.
