Does anyone know if an IP phone continuously uses resources when they do a F86 to listen to the music on hold???

Melissa install BCM Monitor from the install clients page.
Enter the IP address of the BCM and supervisor password and you can use BCM Monitor to monitor resources including bandwidth usage.

aragon is correct on how to find out and the answer is yes an ip phone uses a media gateway and the ip phone is in use while the background music is playing.

Hmmmm, you would think that that particular feature wouldn't show up by default on the Feature List for the IP sets. That would be a huge resource eater if you didn't know any better.

But I suppose that someone should be watching the "Monitor" and would catch it.

Thanks guys!~
