Need Help Getting Started

(OP)
Hi everyone.
I've been given the task of coming up with an abreviated version of paint. The object is to pretty much provide the Paint program with limited options. Ie. the workspace size may be limited to only a few choices instead of unlimited, the color palete would be limited etc.

Is this something I need to create from scratch (please no, I've only ever done a couple VB programs before and they were much simpler than this - I wouldn't know where to start) or is it something that could use OLE to selectively use the functions already within Paint and limit them somehow?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

Good luck. This isn't a trivial task. Hope your trig and geometry skills are better than mine.

synapse,

You're probably doing the right thing, keep on asking on the internet, searching for free-ware s/w. You will find someone who has exactly what you want, probably quite quickly.

Nick's right by the way. This is non-trivial; I would not attempt to write this from scratch myself.

When you find it by the way, and I'm sure you will - tell us where it was and we'll put in the new VB FAQ.
