converting Mac files to Windows files?

Anyone have any idea on how I can convert Mac files to open with my Word2000?

thanks in advance

RE: converting Mac files to Windows files?

I'll give you a response that works with Office 97 and hope it still applies.

There are a couple of options here. If you don't have too many files, rename them on the Mac to include the proper file extension (.doc, xls, etc).

Otherwise, open the appropriate Office application and do file/open and look at all files.

A shortcut to this: create shortcuts to Word, Excel, and Powerpoint on your Windows Desktop. Then, click and drag the Mac files over to the correct application. Works quick and well.

PS. Why do you need MacDrive? Use PC disks in your Mac, unless you have a REALLY old Mac.
