I no longer have access to my Oracle for Win95 but i need some of it's programing for my access database...

I believe I remember an append command. I need to know if I can use this command to append text in 2 fields or more to make 1 field.

EG

append field1 field2;


gives:

field1field2

is this right?

I believe you're thinking of the concat function:

concat(field1,field2) returns field1field2

You can also use double verticals:

field1¦¦field2 yields field1field2

I'm not sure if either of these methods are standard SQL (I believe concat is). However, even if they are, that still doesn't mean it will work in Access. Best bet is to try it and see what happens!
