Electra Elite IPK Remote Programming

Hello NEC folks.

I usually work on the Merlins, but I have a client that wants me to do some programming on their Elite IPK in another state.

What does it take to do that?

Just regular Terminal Software, or something Proprietary?

Thanx in advance....

RE: Electra Elite IPK Remote Programming

First you have to make sure that the Elite IPK system that you are going to do remote programming on has an MIFM card in slot 1 (not the ISA slot) and has a modem board on it.  If it does not have this - YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO REMOTE MAINTENANCE.

Once you verify this and all is well, you will need to get a hold of "Electra Elite IPK SAT" software.  (SAT - System Administration Terminal) This software allows you to do both direct and remote connections.

Can the presence of this card be verified w/o being on site? (Like could I ask a user to transfer me to ???? and see if I get modem tone?)

Also, how hard is it to get the SAT Software?

Thanx
