VB^ + CR8 Installation problem

VB^ + CR8 Installation problem

VB^ + CR8 Installation problem

(OP)
I am having problem trying to install vb6 + cr8 application
on Win 2000 machine.
It gives me a msg that 'setup cannot continue because some system files are out of date'
When I continue with files update, restart the computer and try to run setup again, I'd face the same message again.

Please help if you know how to solve this.

Thank you

RE: VB^ + CR8 Installation problem

Might be related to the MDAC, make sure that the OS is up to date.

RE: VB^ + CR8 Installation problem

I am still having troubles installing this application.
Now I am using Visual Studio Installer that allows me to get read of unnecessary files and add missing ones to the Package. Finally I am able to create the Package. But when
I run the application I get 'library P2LODBC.dll not found....' msg. After I added this file and rebuilt the package, I still got the same error.
Please advise.
Thank you
