Dictionary Needs updated error

Dictionary Needs updated error

I have an user that has come across an error upon opening GP, It tells him that he needs to update his reports dictionary using dynamics utilities. The only item that we have modified is a routing number on one of his bank accounts. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,

RE: Dictionary Needs updated error

The reports dictionary is pretty fragile. The only time you should need to run utilities on a reports dictionary is when you migrate to a newer version. If this is not the case, you can try copying the reports dictionary from another workstation. If you cannot do this, rename the reports dictionary, which will create a new reports dictionary when accessing it for the first time. Then you can use the import function to import from the renamed reports dictionary.

RE: Dictionary Needs updated error

Thank you!! I renamed it and then imported like you said above. That seems to have worked.

Today will be the first day that my user will really get to work in GP again, so I hope we don't have any more issues with this.

Thanks again,
