Network Boot Disk

Network Boot Disk

Network Boot Disk

Quick question regarding create creating a Network DOS Boot disk. I want to create a network boot disk so that I can boot to DOS. connect to my fileserver, and run Norton Ghost to image my systems to the fileserver. However, everytime the boot process hits the Netbind.com, I get the following error . . .

Error 33: Unable to Bind

I am attempting to attatch to an NT4 PDC Server with 3COM 3C905B 10/100 Ethernet cards on all systems involved. Any help on this error message would be greatly appreciated! Thanks All!

RE: Network Boot Disk

I found lots of info on this error by going to www.google.com. and typing in Error 33: Unable to bind. I hope that you find the solution there.

RE: Network Boot Disk

I remember doing this a very long time ago and a very easy to use client was available from Microsoft on the Server CD.

RE: Network Boot Disk

I am having the same problem. Same situation and same hardware. I have used server cd as well and still get the same bind error.

RE: Network Boot Disk

Just write everything in the protocol.ini lower case, because the entries are case-sensitive. it worked for me...

RE: Network Boot Disk

Forget all this, check out http://www.nick-christou.org.uk and you'll find IPX and TCP/IP bootdisks that even a child could use.

They saved my arse many a time!

RE: Network Boot Disk

Thanks to solution for his 'solution' it's works for me to add name of driver in protocol.ini ! ;)

RE: Network Boot Disk

I got this error when I tried to create a boot disk using Image Cast.  I formatted the disk with Win 98 instead and it found the card and came up no problem.

RE: Network Boot Disk

I tried the case sensitive solution & the super network disk perscribed above.  Neither worked.  Ghost is horrible.  I am switching back to Altiris.

RE: Network Boot Disk

Are you using Ghost boot disk wizard?  I think you can specify your own ndis 2 driver go to 3com get the dos driver for the card and then in ghost boot disk exploere get this driver in.
