Lotus Notes Calendar WEEK NUMBERS

Lotus Notes Calendar WEEK NUMBERS

Lotus Notes Calendar WEEK NUMBERS

We use the Lotus Notes calendar within our organisation and this presents the week number when 7 or 14 days are displayed. This week number now needs to be created from relevant dates in another application.

On our calendar it is clear that for most years the last few days of December are included as the first days of week 1 of the following year; however occasionally a week 53 is included (e.g. 2004, 2009, etc.).

We have been unable to establish the exact logic of how Lotus Notes deduces the number of weeks in each year. Has anyone cracked this one ?
