Different values in design and scheduled mode

Different values in design and scheduled mode

Different values in design and scheduled mode

(OP)
I have a very stange problem.

My report, wich includes two linked subreports, shows right values when I run it thru the Report Designer, but when I schedule the report it shows complete different values.

We have Seagate Info 7.0.2.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Thanks.

RE: Different values in design and scheduled mode

I'd guess that you have 2 different data sources involved, that's generally the case.

Perhaps a subreport is pointing to a different ODBC?

Hi !

Thanks for your answer, but it is the same ODBC-connection in the main report as in the two subreports.

I have also tried to use a native connection, but with the same result.

RE: Different values in design and scheduled mode

I'd guess that the ODBC connection on the server is different, rather than the initial guess that one subreport is pointing to a different ODBC.

ODBC Administration has a tracing facility which might help you to understand why there is a difference.

An alternative might be that number formats are different, so the values appear to be different, or you're using a & concatenation which is producing seemingly wrong results.

Hi !

Thanks again.

You see when I have been running the report thru the Report Designer I have done that on the same server as where it is scheduled.

And my values in the subreports are just simple counts.

RE: Different values in design and scheduled mode

Interesting...

Does it do this when you export as well?

Is the login different?

Very odd indeed...

Hi !

I tested and made an export to excel, and it was the same problem.

The login is also the the same for both main and subreports.

RE: Different values in design and scheduled mode

I've had this happen if I use the wrong ODBC driver, such as using the Oracle supplied driver instead of the Crystal supplied Oracle driver.
