File compression

(OP)
Does PSP5 support manual file compression? I am mostly doing gif backgrounds and buttons and jpeg scanned photos (see http://bearcollect.server5000.net/). The buttons on this page are 3K and the image of the bear is 101K. I have learned by trial and error so far and just learned that I should've saved my original scan as a tiff, edited it, and then saved as a jpeg, but it's too late for all the images I have up so far. I don't scan dirtctly into PSP, but should probably give it a try.

Any suggestions??

Thanks so much!

RE: File compression

I'm sorry, I don't see a 101KB image... where's that? I see a 10 KB image of a bear, if that's what you mean...
