A friend of mine is looking to install 802.11G in a marine enviroment.  He's looking for a wireless router/switch with dial up capabilities.

Does anyone know if one even exists?

RE: 802.11g router/switch with dial up. Does it even exist?

You had me until the "dialup capabilities" bit.

Are you envisioning somewhere whereby the "WAN" (internet) connection takes place via dialup line, like a 56k modem or something?

RE: 802.11g router/switch with dial up. Does it even exist?

That's exactly what is going to have to happen.  Actually it's more like a satellite dial up connection.

It's going to be installed on a boat and the customer wants dial up Internet access over a satellite connection as well as dial up capabilities while docked.

Well I have an update of sorts on this problem.  It seems that the router with dialup capabilities does NOT have to have 802.11x capabilities.  The guy is willing to mount another box.

So does anyone know of a router with dialup capabilities?
