Server Disabled

Sitting on hold with Symantec, waiting for a tech. 49 minutes to go and someone should be with me.
I have a server with a status of "disabled" in Symantec System Center. I can't enable it. Any ideas are greatly welcomed. No definitions since 2/21!!!

If it ain't broken, play with it till it breaks.

RE: Server Disabled

Go to the server in question and check the services. You will probably find that the AV component is disabled or has an incorrect password.

Can you remove AV from the server and re add it?

Zelandakh,
Thanks for responding. I finally, after an hour and 13 minutes of tastless music, got through. The technician claims I should reboot my servers once a month, or some services can become a problem. I had already stopped Norton's service, as well as Symantec discovery Service, but he stepped me through the following.

Stop the following services:

Defwatch
Intel PDS (dependents "Intel Alert Handler", "Intel Alert Originator" and "Intel File Transfer")
Norton AntiVirus Server
Symantec System Center Discovery Service

Start the following services in this order:

Intel PDS (dependents "Intel Alert Handler", "Intel Alert Originator" and "Intel File Transfer")
Norton AntiVirus Server
Defwatch
Symantec System Center Discovery Service
_____________

He suggested this sequence whenever Symantec System Center acts up.

If it ain't broken, play with it till it breaks.

RE: Server Disabled

I have never heard of that. We have a server that doesn't need rebooting, although I would recommend putting at least 128MB RAM in - and a decent processor.
