Hey all, I know there is a way to do this, and I figure it's done by some program out there, but is there a way to turn your basic files into executables? if it's a program, does anyone know where I can find one?

Any help is very appreciated! :)

RE: Turn *.bas into an *.exe

Its built into qb4.5
goto the RUN menu > Make EXE

then click on 'Make Stand Alone EXE'
then click on 'Make EXE'

If you don't have qb4.5 you can find it at most good qbasic websites

If a man says something in the forest and no woman hears it is he still wrong?

RE: Turn *.bas into an *.exe

Is that program a compliler? I just have the regular old Qbasic.exe right now....

RE: Turn *.bas into an *.exe

Yes it compiles.

Qbasic 4.5 is a fossil, Microsoft doesn't sell it anymore, but you can download it at any number of websites.  I am almost certain that www.qb45.org has a download of it.
