I'm using a a few older Thermal Transfer printers in a legacy application, with a legacy application (EZ-Label). Both a Zebra Z-3000 and a DATAMAX Prodigy Plus.
The software has it's own internal drivers which are (of course) much faster than the Windows (2000) drivers.
However, I would also like the ability to print from Access or Excel or whatnot. Here's my problem: I can't have the Windows printer driver installed, and still allow the legacy software to use it's internal drivers. This is because the Windows drivers completely take over the COM port.
Am I the only one with this problem?
