I'm trying to create the planet Mars with a sphere, and I want to apply topographical data to the surface of the sphere. I have the data in a picture form (.PGM and also .PSD). Is it possible to apply bump to a sphere based on the alpha channel of a picture material? I keep getting flat surfaces.
