after installation of proxy client the other application can not exec

After installation of proxy client software, the workstation lose the ablities to communicate using tcp/ip on port 10000, but the Proxy works fine.<br>
I even taken the proxy server offline, still can not connect to the PDC with the client/server application.<br>
<br>
Thanks for any inputs.<br>
