Evaluating variant datatype

Evaluating variant datatype

Evaluating variant datatype

(OP)
I have a variable called isManager and it is of type variant. I am trying to evaluate it in an if statement

@if (isManager = "1";....)

How can I do this? I tried converting it to a string but that didn't work. I checked the type using typename and it gave me VARIANT() as the type and the Datatype function returns 8716.

Thank you.

RE: Evaluating variant datatype

You are mixing LotusScript and Formula Language here and I don't think this works although I may be wrong. Can you give us more details on the code you are using. It's a little hard to work out what you are trying to do from the code snippet you have given.

Cheers!
