Remote Access for Accpac Plus

Remote Access for Accpac Plus

Remote Access for Accpac Plus

(OP)
My company is acquiring another company which runs Accpac Plus version 7.  Management wants to move the servers to main office and have the sales office and a shipping location remotely access Accpac plus.  The application is currently running on a windows 2000 server.  Will this application work well on terminal services or citrix?  Any suggestions appreciated.

RE: Remote Access for Accpac Plus

Remebering that ACCPAC plus is a DOS application I would think that it would not run well, if at all, on terminal services. I am not sure how citrix handles DOS programs.

You might have to research how those services handle DOS programs.

Thanks and Good Luck!

RE: Remote Access for Accpac Plus

Accpac (DOS) runs fine in terminal services however you need to control the DOS keyboard polling. We easily installed TAMEDOS http://www.tamedos.com/ and have never had any problems. They have a trial version available for testing the setup.
