In my report i would like to insert an extra column.  however this column will depend on some the details shown

eg if the office field is "New York" I would like a box next to this displaying the text "local".  and if the office field is "Paris" I would like the box to display the text "far away"

? How can "...UK" consider New York to be close and Paris to be Far Away?

Is it because of the Great "ESCAPE"?

Oh well, the process is not very difficult, however the criteria situation may be questionalble.

Just place the text box where ever you want it (e.g. next to the 'office' field.  To fill it in with the Text "Local" or Far Away (w/ Local applying to "New York" ONLY,

=IIF([Office] = "New York", "Local", "FarAway")

Of course, as soon as the criteria gets more involved, this approach quickly becomes unmanageable.  Since these are the only criteria/conditions given, this works for the problem as stated.

There is never time to do it right but there is always time to do it over
