MDAC upgrade?

MDAC upgrade?

MDAC upgrade?

Hi there

Im trying to get some feedback on whether it is necessary for me to upgrade the version of MDAC I have installed. I am using PWS 4.0 to develop ASP applications and gather from some light reading I am using MDAC vs 1.5. I am trying to figure out if this includes ADO 2.0.

So if I do upgrade which version of MDAC should I use? 2.1 seems to have a few bugs but 2.5 is relatively new. Basically I am pretty happy with what I have now but what am I missing out on?

Well all thoughts and advice appreciated as always.

RE: MDAC upgrade?

MDAC 2.5 SP1 is a good way to go, though 2.6 is up at www.microsoft.com/data/

If you need an older version for compatibility reasons, I would go with 2.1 SP2 (MDAC GA)
