I downloaded the ALAP InBook plug-in for InDesign and it seemed to install ok but it doesn't show up in the File menu and when I go to Plug-ins and try to import it, a note pops up that says it is an invalid file. I uninstalled, re-downloaded and reinstalled but the same thing happens. Anyone else have the same problem and, if so, were you able to get it fixed? It happened last night so I couldn't call tech support yet - I'll do that today. Are there any other booklet publishing plug-ins for InDesign 2.0? It's really dumb for a publishing program that costs so much to not be able to print even an 8 page booklet! I have the booklet ready to print but I need to get the cover and pages in the right printing order.

I downloaded the trial InBooklet plug-in for InDesign and shortly after I purchesed it.
It works very well and is a step above the plug-in that was included with Pagemaker.
BUT there are definitely installation problems!
Some have to do with standard things like forgetting to shut off your virus checker when installing.
I didn't have your particular problem, so I can't help you on that one.
However I will recommend that you contact ALAP's support.
They are very friendly and very helpful.
I do agree with you that it seems a little dumb that such a function was not included as standard with InDesign.
