Creating subtotals in IQ report queries

I'm new to Peachtree IQ writer, and I need help creating totals on a custom payroll report. I'm trying to create subtotals of different payroll fields (regular pay, fica withheld, OT pay, etc) in a report by using our employee codes. Our employee codes are in the following formats: 001XXX, 002XXX, 003XXX, adn 004XXX. I'd like to program the report to subtotal by these types of codes. Is this possible, and, if so, how do I accomplish this.
