C client program

Hello everyone,I need to write a C client program that would act like a small browser with regards to CGI programs.More specifically, it should establish connection with a web server, send it some name/values pairs and get a response back from CGI script (we don't care what the response looks like).
For example,a user would enter a URL (something like www.someadrress.com/cgi-bin/script?), then he would enter some name/value pairs; program would connect to the server, send name/value parameters and would wait for a response.Does anyone have any ideas how to go about writing it?
  Any help would be appreciated.

RE: C client program

I would consider using Perl...That would be much easier.  Is there a reason not to use Perl for this?

As always, I hope that helped!

Beware: Studies have shown that research causes cancer in lab rats.

RE: C client program

if you are using unix environment
then it is okay to use c
but i would rather prefer using java

 from sagar
hope it helped

RE: C client program

Hi Tim
As per my knowledge it was not too dificult and it is not as much as you expected. If u know the connectivity to the server thru C then u can operate the browser. that browser program also ur own.

Nice question keep it up.
