ArcServeIT 6.61 Software Locks up


I have just installed NT 4 with SP5 on a

DELL 2300
P111 500

With Seagate Python Tape Backup that came with the Server.!

Here is the problem ArcserveIT 6.61 Build 834

- When I submitt a job (backup) the media states it is "connecting to Media" but it locks up Arcserve. or locks up OS..?

Here what i have done..!

Checked NT backup S/W worked fine(((Did a back successful))

Did Diags of DELL SERVER

Passed both..!

Any answers..? Solutions..? Fix..? Prayers...?

Have you installed and licensed the product. That gave me quite a time like you are describing. Also look in devices and make sure it still sees the device and the controller. This too could be a problem. If nothing is working make sure the device is supported with that build.
