Upgrade from PCA2002 to 2003

(OP)
I am trying to upgrade a company from Peachtree Complete Accounting 2002 to 2003.  The conversion process bombs on the file jrnlrow.lck.  There are no lock files in the data set being converted so this file is created by 2003.  But everytime it halts on this file.

Help!

Thanks,

RE: Upgrade from PCA2002 to 2003

Go back to your data in version 2002.
In PCW 2002, change to accounting period 1
Reindex the jrnlhdr and jrnlrow files one at a time
Change the accounting period back
Delete all files that end in "LCK"
Try to convert the data again

If you still have a problem, try running the Inventory/Journal Data Sync test from accounting period 1 in PCW 2002 and then convert the data.

Reindex the jrnlhdr and jrnlrow files one at a time
Change the accounting period back
Delete all files that end in "LCK"
Make sure that the only files you have in your company folder are files that end in "DAT" and "TXT"
Try to convert the data again
