Layer Palette Dissapeared!

No palletes in AI have 'ticks' next to them. They either say hide or show depending on the state of the pallets. If yours says "Show Layers", then your layer pallete is hiddin, if it says "Hide Layers" then it is open somewhere. The toggle kry for the Layers Pallete is F7. Try hitting F7 a few times and see if doesnt reveal itself. BEHOLD! As Steve Jobs introduces us the latest in desk-lamp technology!

I'm using Illustrator 10 for windows and mine does show a tick next to the palettes that are open...

I've tried the old F7 button to no avail and... when I press F7 it doesn't tick the Layer palette as being open and I just can't find it, it just doesn't open!

Now that is odd, didnt know that about AI 10 since I still use 9. I think someone posted your question a while back, not sure if there was an answer but it sounds you need to completely uninstall AI and PS, install PS first, then AI. BEHOLD!
