DNS Lookup Failure

DNS Lookup Failure

DNS Lookup Failure

We have promoted an NT4 PDC to WIN2K as a DC in a new Child Domain. (Empty Root Domain Structure). The former NT4 BDC was promoted to PDC in the  old NT domain. A Trust used to exist between the NT domain and the WIN2K domain. The newly promoted WIN2k DC now shows up as a BDC in the NT domain (in Server Manager) and a DC in the WIN2k domain. Is this possible? We want to demote the WIN2K server, but cannot due to DNS lookup failure. New server fails DCDIAG connectivity test. Any ideas??? Thanks.....
