Store.exe will not quit?

Store.exe is causing 100% processor useage. MS says install sp2 but it can't ent the process to install it? any thoughts

RE: Store.exe will not quit?

We had this last week, caused by a user bombing out of Outlook. They thought it had crashed when in fact they were mailing a 100Mb file to someone.

Kind of a frig, but it worked for us:
Kill the store.exe process.
Stop the Exchange services.
Set Exchange services to manual.
Restart server.
Install NT SP5 then Ex SP2 (hope you are using 5.5 cos I don't know about 5.0).
Re set Exchange services to automatic.

This worked for me.

RE: Store.exe will not quit?

I eventually figured that out I couldn't kill store untill I set it to manual and restarted that's where I was hung up. A long sunday night fixed it. I only installed Exhange sp2. I am weary of a new sp since I am not having other issues I am leaving well enough alone :) Thanks for the tip.
