RE: cannot ping yahoo.com

Eihtur,

If you can ping the IP address of Yahoo, but not Yahoo.com by then, then you have a DNS problem.

If I read the post correctly, you have one wireless computer that is able to correctly access the Internet, right?  Do an Ipconfig /all on that machine,  is it using the same DNS server as the PC that cannot ping Yahoo.com by name?

RE: cannot ping yahoo.com

Patty is correct.  I had a heck of a time getting my wireless set up.  Have you tried a different dns number?  I assume someone is getting you onto the internet either msn, or a cable modem.  I'm using our local cable company, and what I did was for my wireless, I used there dns numbers and the gateway is my desktop which is connected to the cable modem and wireless router.  Good luck.

RE: cannot ping yahoo.com

What does ipconfig /all show you that's different from the rest, anything?
